Contributing Members

If you are a parent or guardian of a child who is a Music, Theatre or Visual Art student at Downers Grove North High School, then you are automatically a member of the Downers Grove North Friends of Fine Arts!  The Downers Grove North Friends of Fine Arts support the activities of all our music, theatre and visual arts students.  Individuals who choose to support the Downers Grove North Friends of Fine Arts financially become Contributing Members.  These contributions help support various enrichment opportunities, events and departmental needs which benefit all students.  Some examples are listed below.
Student Enrichment
Funds collected from Contributing Members are used to provide various student enrichment opportunities including summer study grants, professional artist/clinician sessions, student field trips and student showcase travel.  Summer study grants financially assist students who wish to attend summer music, theatre and visual art camps.  These camps give students time to concentrate on their area of expertise or enhance their talent by trying something new.  It also allows students to be artistic year round while having the opportunity to be taught by other professionals.

Events & Departmental Support
Funds are also used to host various events like the string & choral festivals and the Scholastic Art Show each year.  The money generated also is used to supplement the needs of the DGN Fine Arts Department and help pay for the larger items that the school’s budget cannot accommodate.

Please Consider Giving

In order to make our student's music, theatre and visual art experiences the best they can possibly be, please consider making a donation to the Contributing Members Fund. In return, we will recognize each contributor in the music concert programs at Downers Grove North High School, as well as any literature distributed at visual art shows.  Please also consider pursuing Corporate Matching Donations with your current employers.  Donor letters will be provided, including EIN number, for Corporate Matching Gifts.
