The DGN Friends of Fine Arts (DGN-FOFA) supports our DGN students in many ways. A tangible example of their support is the recent acquisition of a new Adams 4.3 Octave Rosewood Marimba. It is through the generous donations to DGN-FOFA that this kind of tangible support is realized for the benefit of the students in our Fine Arts programs.

2018 Flower Sale!

The 2018 DGN Friends of Fine Arts (FOFA) Plant Sale begins Wednesday, February 28th.  Order forms and additional information about this fundraiser are available HERE.

Orders are due by Wednesday, April 4^th.  Please make checks payable to DGN Friends of Fine Arts (no cash please).

NIU Jazz Festival at the Tivoli January 30 @ 7pm

Join the Downers Grove North and South Jazz Bands in welcoming the NIU Jazz Ensemble on Tuesday January 30,2018 at the Tivoli Theater at 7pm.

This is an evening of amazing Jazz Music performed by our very own District 99 Jazz Bands and the NIU Jazz Ensemble with special guest Guitarist Rick Haydon.

Tickets are $8.00 each ($6.00 for seniors and students) and are available at the door!

We hope you join the FOFA in welcoming the performers to the Historic Tivoli Theater!

DGN Friends of Fine Arts is pleased to congratulate the 2018 All State Musicians from North High! We extend our best to you for a wonderful conference and performance in Peoria!

Apply for a DGN Friends of Fine Arts Summer Study Grant!

If you are interested in continuing your Fine Arts studies this summer at a music or visual art camp/workshop, and would benefit from financial assistance to attend, please consider applying for a scholarship from the DGN Friends of Fine Arts, which annually supports $8,000 - $10,000 in Summer Study Grants to student musicians and visual artists.

To be considered, your application must be submitted by Saturday, April 14, 2018. The Summer Study Grant application is on a Google form, completely paperless. You may complete the form here:

Choral Festival Tonight at 7pm @ DGN!

The Choral Festival starts today after school!  The Middle School Singers from Herrick Jr High, Jefferson Jr High and Westview Jr High join our DGN Choral Singers in a workshop, dinner then an AMAZING Choral Concert at 7pm!

The concert features performances from middle school choirs and DGN Ensembles, culminating with a performance of the pieces that were rehearsed earlier in the day.  With nearly 180 singers onstage, it is a great way to celebrate choral music in our schools!

Join the FOFA and the DGN Choirs in Welcoming the Middle School Singers, who are the future Choirs of DGN!

Jazz Night in Downers Grove!

Please join the Friends of Fine Arts and the DGN Jazz Bands in Welcoming the Herrick Jr High Jazz Band, the Westview Hill Jr. High Jazz Band and the Jefferson Jr. High Jazz Band tonight at The DGN Jazz Cafe!

Tonight will be a fun evening of great Jazz Music performed by our current and future DGN Jazz Band Members!

The Music Starts at 6pm in the DGN Cafeteria, and in the words of a Famous Chicago Jazz Musician, Herbie Hancock:

"It Pulled Me like a Magnet, Jazz did, because it was a way that I could Express Myself"
