It's really GRAND! New piano finds home at DGN

Thanks to the wonderful financial support of the DGN Friends of Fine Arts, and the District 99 Board of Education, a beautiful new grand piano made its way into Pohlmann Hall at North High today! 

"Words could not express our excitement as we watched a brand new piano roll into our DGN Choir Room," said music faculty member Ms. Beth O'Riordan. "It will provide such high quality musical support to our students for many, many years to come. We are so grateful to have amazing support from the DGN Friends of Fine Arts and our District 99 Administration!"

"The new piano has a touch that is incredibly responsive," added Dr. Frank Piekarz. "This instrument will allow us to play accompaniments and vocal parts with greater clarity and sensitivity. It also sounds fantastic in the room - it's perfectly suited given our choir room's size and acoustical treatments."

Obviously the beginning of the school year has not been what we were hoping for, but one thing hasn’t changed, and that is DGN Fine Arts Spirit Wear! Have you been waiting to plant a CHOIR yard sign in your lawn? Are you counting down the minutes until you can wear your DGN | THEATRE t-shirt? Did you miss the awesome cookbook on sale this summer and you are hoping you can still have one to start cooking up some delicious meals, courtesy of your fellow Fine Arts families? Well, we have what you need!

 

Please check out the link below, for t-shirts, yard signs, and a wonderful cookbook. We WILL have a much more extensive offering of spirit wear within a week, courtesy of Deb’s Embroidery, a local business that has wonderful quality items for us. Deb is still tweaking the store to make sure it’s everything we want it to be, so stay tuned. We’ll get it out to you as soon as we can!

Welcome to 2020-21 school year and Thank you to all the contributing and volunteering FOFA Members

 WELCOME to DGN 2020-21 School Year! With the end of last year being cut short, and many events not being held, this is just a quick post to pass on an overdue THANK YOU to all of our DGN FOFA contributing members over the past 2019-20 school year. Thank you for their generous donations to the DGN Fine Arts programs! We also would like to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who put forth their precious time either being a board member, a committee chair or pitching in to help volunteer for all the different Fine Arts events. 

Every year DGN Friends of  Fine Arts sets a financial fundraising goal for the year. We achieve that goal through fundraising and donations to our Contributing Members Fund. Past years Contributing member's helped fund activities across ALL disciplines.

DGN Friends of Fine Arts appreciates each and every one for the continuing generosity in helping make DGN Fine Arts the amazing program that it is! Lastly we would like to extend our thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who help our events run smooth by generously donating their time and energy. THANK YOU!!!
